Rosehall Run Pinot Noir ‘Cuvée County’ 2008
VQA Prince Edward County $21.95 12.2% alcohol
Vic and I were thrilled to taste this elegant Pinot produced from the fruit of select vineyards. Perfumed aromas of red fruit are underlaid with earthy, toasty notes and hints of minerality. Aged 11 months in French oak this mid-weight wine is silky and supple with fine acidity and well-integrated soft tannins. Fresh red fruit flavours mingle with warm sweet spice and a dash of white pepper. Ripe fruit and toasty notes linger on the finish. Consider a case, and cellar a few bottles for 3-5 years. Produced in limited quantities, the wine is available directly from Rosehall Run. (Susan Desjardins)
