Torres 'Marimar Estate - Don Miguel Vineyard' Pinot Noir
Sonoma County $48.25 (138072)
The exotic and involved aromas include smoked meat, dark berry fruit and nuances of lilac. Fully flavoured, medium bodied and richly textured, the deftly balanced flavours of spicy zesty cranberry, ripe sweet pomegranate and black currant glide along to and through the warm (14.2% alcohol) leisurely finish. The aromas and flavours opened up in the glass suggesting a one- or two-hour aeration/decant. The tannin are ripe and supple while the price is more than fair.
