Francis Coppola ‘Sofia’ Rosé 2013
Monterrey County $19.95 (284943) 12.5% alcohol
From first setting eyes on the stylized bottle to the final crisp, refreshing drop, this dishes up one delightfully alluring Rosé—65% Pinot Noir, 35% Syrah. Spice, notions of cloves and red berry fruit aromas herald a nicely formed mouthful of red cherry, strawberry and pomegranate bathing the palate, infusing the dry, fruity mouth-watering finish. It pours well on its own with the balance and oomph for matching with chicken, turkey, pork or veal. (Vic Harradine)
