Kono Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand $18.95 (441394) 12.5% alcohol
Aromas of passionfruit and lemon zest leap from the glass preceding a gusher of palate flavour with piquant herbal notes enveloped in white grapefruit tang and a wisp of minerality. Quintessential Marlborough sauvignon blanc, it’s crisp, clean and refreshing with a crescendo of racy lemon-lime on the finish and aftertaste that’s nicely balanced with a smidgeon of ripe pit fruit. Perfect when sipped on its own or with sea food. (Vic Harradine
