This 100% malbec displays aromas of dark cherry, plum and bay leaf with peppercorn notes. Only 50% of this matured eight months in once-used American oak barrel leaving a delicate oak thumbprint. The dark cherry aromas turn to tart, juicy pie cherries on the palate while coated with firm tannins persisting through the mild, peppery finish. This medium-bodied red pairs well with fresh tomato sauce dishes, it’s perfect with spaghetti Bolognese. (Louise Boutin)
